Common Admission Test (CAT) 2012
The Indian Institutes of Management will conduct Comman Admission Test 2012 during a 21- day testing window between October 11, 2012 and November 06, 2012 CAT 2012 will be conducted by IIMs as per-requisite for admission to various management programmers of IIMs.
CAT 2012 Eligibility: The candidate must hold a Bachelor’s Degree with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA ( 45% in case of the candidate Belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), PWD,Catg awarded by any of the Universities incorporated by an act of central or state legislature in Indian or other educational institution established by an act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a university under Section 3 of the UGC act 1956.
Reservations: As per Government of india requirements , 15% of the seats are reserved for SC, and 7% for ST, candidates, 27% of seats are reserved for OBC candidates belonging to the non-creamy layer (NC-OBC) visit: http://www.ncbc.nic.in

Registration for Cat 2012 : On Purchasing the CAT2012 Voucher, prospective candidates must log on to the website www.catiim.in to register for CAT2012. The registration window opens on July30, 2012 and will close on September 19, 2012. Details of the registration process are provided at the website www.catiim.in. The candidates should view the CAT2012 video which will be available on website from july 28 onward. A short audio recording with key highlights from the video will be available on +91 124 451 7178 during the registration & scheduling period.
Test Centres: Visit the CAT2012 website (www.catiim.in) for the choice of test sites spread across 36 Test Cities in the country for appearing for CAT2012. IIMs reserve the right to change or cancel any test venue/center and/or change the test window time and dates at their own discretion.
Cat2012 Score: A candidate’s Cat2012 score card will be available to the candidate at the website www.catiim.in from January 2013. Candidates must retain a print-out of their score card CAT2012 score card is valid till Dec 31 , 2013. The candidates will be able to download the score card from the website www.catiim.in of till Dec 31, 2013. Subsequent to that date no queries related to issuance of Cat2012 score card will be entertained.
Admission Process : Please note that IIM shortlists candidates for second stage of selection which may be independent of each other. The process may include Written Ability Test (WAT). Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interviews (PI). Performance in Cat 2012 examination is an important component in the admission process. IIMs may use previous academic performance of the candidates.
